Drape Mesh
Drape mesh is a passive system we use for controlled rockfall. The mesh is anchored and then draped on the slope for loose rocks to fall behind the mesh.
This method is highly effective on steep or irregular slopes where active systems are not practical, as it allows rocks and debris to be contained and guided safely to the base of the slope without the need for frequent maintenance.
It provides a reliable barrier that reduces the risk of rockfall reaching roads, railways, or infrastructure while blending naturally into the surrounding environment.

Temporary net
The net does similar work to drape mesh but as a temporary solution as the net is removed once it’s no longer needed.
This makes it ideal for short-term projects such as construction sites, slope stabilisation during roadworks, or areas undergoing maintenance where permanent protection is not required. It provides immediate rockfall control and safety while offering the flexibility to be dismantled or repositioned once the risk has been mitigated or the work is completed.

Rock scaling
This involves removing boulders and loose rocks on a high wall. The solution will depend on the risk we are dealing with and they can vary from blasting the boulder or using equipments to push down the rocks. Whatever is required, M84 Geotech team is experienced enough to find the right solution.
Our approach always prioritises safety and efficiency, with careful assessment of the site conditions before any work begins. By combining specialised equipment with proven geotechnical techniques, we ensure that unstable material is removed in a controlled manner, minimising disruption to surrounding infrastructure and reducing future rockfall hazards.

Monitoring prism installation
These devices are used as communication and monitoring tool by the geotech team to monitor their pits for any rockfall risks. As M84 Geotech, we have installed thousands of these instruments to keep pits safe and well monitored.
By providing real-time data and early warnings, these systems allow us to detect ground movement or potential instabilities before they become critical. This proactive approach helps mine operators and project managers make informed decisions quickly, reducing downtime and ensuring the highest levels of safety for people and equipment working in and around the pits.

Catch fence
A catch fence is rockfall protection solution which is installed to block and prevent any loose rocks which might break from the slope from free falling to the foot of the slope.
These systems are designed to absorb and dissipate the energy of falling rocks, ensuring they are safely stopped before reaching roads, rail lines, or working areas. Catch fences can be engineered to suit different slope conditions and impact levels, making them a flexible and cost-effective solution for both temporary and long-term rockfall hazards.

Rock breaking
We do rock blasting on high access areas such as mine high walls. Our team applies precise blasting techniques designed to break down unstable rock masses safely and efficiently, even in areas that are difficult to reach. By using controlled charges and industry-approved methods, we are able to minimise vibration, dust, and fly rock, ensuring that surrounding operations and infrastructure remain unaffected.
With extensive experience in high-risk environments, we combine technical expertise with the latest blasting technology to deliver consistent results. Whether the objective is to remove hazardous boulders, create safe working benches, or manage slope stability, our solutions are tailored to each site’s unique geology and safety requirements.

Anchors
We have all kinds of anchors and rock bolts for support and stabilisation. These systems are essential for reinforcing weak rock masses, preventing slope failures, and maintaining long-term stability in both mining and civil engineering projects. By tailoring the type and length of anchors or bolts to the specific ground conditions, we ensure that each installation provides maximum strength, durability, and safety for the surrounding environment.

Pipe support
We have the right equipment to support dewatering pipes on mine high walls.
Proper support of dewatering infrastructure is critical for controlling groundwater pressure, maintaining slope stability, and ensuring safe working conditions.
Our team designs and installs secure support systems that withstand harsh conditions and heavy loads, reducing the risk of pipe failure and keeping water management operations running efficiently.

Pull testing
We provide pull testing for all the anchors we use to support the mesh or for abseiling purposes. This testing ensures that every installed anchor meets the required load capacity and safety standards before being put into service. By verifying the strength and reliability of each anchor, we provide peace of mind for both structural support and personnel safety, especially in high-risk environments such as steep mine walls and unstable slopes.
